  WCPO Reporter for Arts & Culture Matt Peiken followed the Second Company of the Cincinnati Ballet between October 2013 and April 2014, documenting the path of six dancers working fulltime for no pay as they competed for contracts as apprentices. Matt Peikin and dancer Samantha Nagy-Chow join us to talk about the Second Company, and the documentary.

Robyn Carey-Allgyer welcomes in Carmon DeLeone to talk about one of the truly special experiences of a Cincinnati Ballet – live, orchestral musical accompaniment, which is quickly disappearing from most other ballet company productions. Maestro DeLeone will again conduct the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra for the Ballet’s production.

Once again, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra will provide live orchestration and direction by Septime Webre.
