Behind the scenes look at "A Christmas Carol"

Playhouse in the Park’s production of A Christmas Carol is a longtime Cincinnati tradition, and now a former backstage employee shares some of the stories of working on the annual production. Daniel Townsend was wigmaster for four years, and he’s written A Mouthful of Goose: Backstage Stories from A Christmas Carol and he’s with Rick Pender to share a couple of those stories.

Cincinati Art Dealers Initiative collaboration

A new collaboration among commercial art galleries and the artists they represent formed in October of this year. CADI (Cincinnati Art Dealers Initiative) hopes to educate and generate additional interest and investment in art collecting. Movie Review: Out of the Furnace

Almost everything I’ve read since seeing the new film Out of the Furnace makes comparisons to The Deer Hunter, which is legitimate. The film takes place in the hardscrabble world of a Pennsylvania steel mill town; the younger brother of the lead character is sent to Iraq, although we’re spared any footage of that deployment; it’s incredibly violent; and yes, there is a scene of deer hunting.
