The Hamilton County Board of Elections has appointed a new Director of Elections following the former director's appointment, Amy Searcy, to a judgeship.
Sherry Poland, Interim Director of Elections, and former Operations Administrator, is the new director.
As Operations Administrator, she has successfully administered over 37 elections, including 3 presidential elections.

Hamilton County elections director Amy Searcy has been appointed to a domestic relations court judgeship, effective Monday.
The incumbent Republican judge, Beth Mattingly, and retired withdrawn as a candidate for re-election.
