Air Transport Services Group (ATSG), based at the Wilmington Air Park, has reached agreement to operate an air cargo network for an Amazon subsidiary, but it's unclear if all the planes Amazon is leasing will continue to fly out of Wilmington.

Since last summer ATSG has been working with Amazon Fulfillment Services to customize an air cargo network. Under the deal Amazon will lease 20 Boeing 767 aircraft and be able to acquire 20 percent of ATSG's common share stock.

When big planes start flying regularly out of a largely vacant airport, people notice. That's the case at the Wilmington Air Park where, for a few months now, four Boeing 767s have been taking off daily.

iHerb, an online provider of natural products and food supplements, has announced it will establish a regional e-commerce headquarters in Northern Kentucky. The company is based in California and plans to build a new state-of-the-art e-commerce center at IDI's Park West industrial park in Hebron.
