Host Bill Cartwright brings his passion for 1930’s and 40’s era Big Band music to this entertaining Saturday evening showcase honoring the music of the “Golden Age of Radio.”

Join Bill Cartwright this Saturday night at 10 o'clock for a trip back in time with music from jazz vocalists Billie Holiday and Dakota Staton, plus the big band music of the legendary Benny Goodman.

Tune in Saturday night at 10 and have your own swingin’ dance party with Bill Cartwright and great artists like Benny Goodman, Ella Fitzgerald, and Count Basie.

This week on Swing with Bill Cartwright, you’ll hear from a number of legendary swing bands including Harry James, Les Brown, and Woody Herman.

This week's Swing show features a number of popular vocalists from times gone by as well as the present including Michael Buble, Doris Day, Dinah Shore and Rosemary Clooney.  Cincinnati native Doris Day will celebrate her 90th birthday this coming Thursday, April 3rd.  Turner Classic Movies will celebrate her birthday with an all-day marathon of her movies on April 3rd if you'd like to re-visit her tremendous talent.

This week's show on Saturday, March 22nd, at 10pm will feature a number of outstanding vocalists including Tony Bennett, Peggy Lee and Nancy Wilson.  Others are Harry Connick, Jr. along with the wonderful duet sounds of Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme.

Memorial Hall will present their Signature Series "Simply Swinging" concert on Friday, April 18th.  The show will feature Steve Lippia with the Cincinnati Contemporary Jazz Orchestra.  Before the concert, the Mad Men-themed reception will include Salon 21, lite bites by Elegant Fare and Catered Affair, plus cocktails from Obscura and Madisono's gelato.  The reception and open bar begins at 6:30pm followed by the performance at 8, and dancing at 9pm.  The evening is co-presented by the Blue Wisp and Memor

This week on Swing with Bill Cartwright you'll hear from a number of great female vocalists including Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Lena Horne.  There will also be songs by legendary big bands from the swing era like Harry James, Duke Ellington and Les Elgart.

A couple of selections by the always popular Frank Sinatra along with songs by legendary vocalists Doris Day and Sarah Vaughan.  You'll also hear from Linda Ronstadt and Diana Krall.

Classic songs from the swing era tonight include "Yes Sir, That's My Baby" by John Pizzarelli and Frank Sinatra's "The Lady is a Tramp."
