The Most Valuable Kids program provides inner-city and high risk kids the opportunity to attend sporting events, concerts, plays and more by receiving contributions of tickets that would otherwise go unused. To help fund their efforts, they will host their Bengals Bowling Bash on June 8 at Princeton Bowl. 75 years of the Sharon Woods Golf Course

Sharon Woods Golf Course, part of the Hamilton County Park District, will be celebrating its 75th anniversary starting on Monday, May 27. Tom Bach, the course’s PGA professional, is in The Front Row with Betsy Ross to discuss the long history of the course, some of the special events happening during the anniversary week, and a fun bit of trivia as to which legendary golfer took the ceremonial first tee shot when the course opened.

Sally Jenkins is a veteran sports journalist, previously writing for Sports Illustrated and now as a columnist for The Washington Post. Her newest book is called Sum It Up: 1,098 Victories, A Couple of Irrelevant Losses, and a Life in Perspective and it’s all about the life and current health battle of former University of Tennessee women’s basketball coach, Pat Summitt. On this week’s The Front Row with Betsy Ross, Sally Jenkins talks about writing the book with Coach Summitt and how she is courageously facing the early-onset Alzheimer’s that forced her off the bench.

He has worked successfully with names such as Vijay Singh, Matt Kuchar and Justin Rose, and he is sharing some of his tips and techniques to help golfers at all levels in a new book. Dr. Valiente is in The Front Row with Betsy Ross to discuss Golf Flow, which discusses the athletic concept known as “the zone” and how to achieve the success that brings.
