Cincinnati's music scene is rich with talented musicians many of whom will be highlighted on this show. You'll hear Noah Hunt performing with Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and the Bluebirds recorded at their old Sunday evening gig at Allyn's Cafe in Columbia Tusculum. There's a song by the Goshorn Brothers and another by the Sacred Mushroom...plus music from Big Joe Duskin, Greg Schaber, and the Blues Merchants. It's a local archival edition of the Blues!
The Cincy Blues Society (founded in 1990) celebrates over two decades of supporting the Blues with its hottest Winter Blues Fest line-up yet! On February 7 & 8, 2014, The Phoenix will be rocking with more than 25 of the best local blues bands and two amazing touring headliners. There will be four stages.
Lots and lots of new releases from little known blues musicians on the regional and national scene. The show begins with a young guitar prodigy, Quinn Sullivan, who blew folks away at Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival last year. Other musicians you'll hear on this show include Davell Crawford on Basin Street, Magic Slim's son Shawn Holt & the Teardrops, and Ron Sorin and the Blue Coast Band from Chicago.
