The Blues with Lee Hay: 3.22.14 show

This Saturday night at 11pm you'll hear Gov't Mule, Tommy Castro & the Painkillers, and guitar legend Lonnie Mack who's living in Nashville now.  The show begins with a song by Boz Scaggs from his "Memphis" album and ends with Joan Armatrading's "The Way I Think of You."

The Blues with Lee Hay: 3.15.14 show

We're going to begin the show with a set highlighting events which have happened over the years on the date, March 15th.  Lightnin' Hopkins was born on 3/15/12, Ry Cooder's birthdate is 3/15/47.  James Brown's song, "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag" received a Grammy on 3/15/66, and finally on 3/15/68, Life Magazine called Jimi Hendrix "the most spectacular guitarist in the world."

The Blues: 3.8.14 show

This week's show begins with Eric Clapton and ends with favorite Delbert McClinton.  You'll also hear an exciting long set by New Orleans legendary pianist Ronnie Kole.  There's also music from Charlie Musselwhite, Anders Osborne, Nina Simone, and Emmylou Harris & Spyboy.  BB King's included, and he'll be performing at the Lexington Opera House on Tuesday, 4/8.
