Local author Leah Stewart wins ArtsWave award

ArtsWave announced today that Cincinnati author Leah Stewart will receive its 2014 Rosa F. and Samuel B. Sachs Fund Prize. The award, created to celebrate outstanding achievements in the arts, recognizes Stewart for her award-winning novels and contributions to Cincinnati's literary scene.

Local children’s author Michele Wright has created a series of four books based on the seasons in order to share the magic of nature with her young readers. Drummer Ron Enyard has been a fixture in the local jazz scene for many years, and has a regular gig at Om Eco Café in Clifton every Monday night. He’s with Frank Johnson to talk about a CD from a 1967 gig at the old Herbie’s (a club that was on the corner of Taft and Hackberry) with saxophonist Bobby Miller, pianist Sam Jackson, and bassist Burgoine Denny.
