Kelly Blewett has a review of the new memoir The Longest Date: Life as a Wife, written by Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning writer of TV shows like Sex and the City and Modern Family, Cindy Chupack. Her personal, and often comical, story of two marriages and the challenges of matrimony, has already been optioned by Fox TV as a possible series.

Dr. Maya Angelou speaks by phone with our Barbara Gray about the late Nelson Mandela, her history with him, and her new book about this iconic world leader, His Day is Done: A Nelson Mandela Tribute.

Fans of daytime soaps, specifically As the World Turns, will remember actor Rosemary Prinz from her 12 year run as Penny Hughes. She’s primarily an accomplished stage actress and is now appearing on stage at Playhouse in the Park in a production of Amy Herzog’s 4000 Miles. She spends a few minutes with Rick Pender to talk about her long career and her role in this Thompson Shelterhouse show.
