John Preston Smith has been a dog trainer and handler for almost 50 years and has written two books: The Bog, a sort of fantasy dog tale; and 14,000 Dogs Later, about his long career. He’s with our Robyn Carey-Allgeyer to talk about his fascinating career and his writings.

Chef, cookbook author, and host of PBS’ Simply Ming, Ming Tsai, recently returned to his native Ohio and stopped by the WVXU studios to talk with Robyn Carey-Allgeyer. He discussed his East meets West cooking philosophy, the success of his TV show, and his newest cookbook, Simply Ming in your Kitchen.

Barbara Gray welcomes Sandy Gross and Leah Busch from Cincinnati’s Brazee Street Studios, which houses 25 local artists and offers classes in glass art. They are now moving into children’s books with their new Toast to Counting, the first in a series of board books to inspire creativity in children.
