Author and musician Joani Lacy

Joani Lacy, well-known local musician, has recently completed the third book of her Hollister House Trilogy, three stories of a fantastic journey through the Deep South, featuring romance, mysticism and more. She joins Brian O’Donnell to discuss and read from the final installment, The Witch and the Banyan Tree. She’ll be doing a signing on Saturday, May 11 at the Roebling Point Bookstore in Covington.

Seeking out unknown animals

Cryptozoology: the study of hidden or unknown animals, creatures not confirmed or recognized by science. Filmmaker Christopher Maloney has recently completed his documentary, Cryptotrip, about his journey to talk to people who claim to have seen one or more of these unknown creatures. He joins Larry Thomas to talk about his 20 state road trip and how people can view his film.

Art in Action outreach program

Art in Action is a new program funded by the many artists who are based in the Pendleton Art Center in Cincinnati. Artist Terri Kern, one of the first Cincinnati Art Ambassadors, and designer Nancy Hopkins, join David Delegator to discuss this unique outreach program which provides free art classes to encourage creativity and motivation.

Photographic artist Elena Dorfman currently has an exhibit of her large-scale images at the Phyllis Weston Gallery on Madison Road. She joins our Judith Turner-Yamamoto to talk about the two years it took to capture all the images from rock quarries around the Midwest that make up her Empire Falling exhibit.
