Parts of the tri-state are dealing with a major winter storm.  It's expected to bring heavy snow and wind northwest of the low track.  Closer to the center of the storm, a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain are expected.

The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for Fayette, Union, Franklin and Ripley Counties in southeast Indiana and Butler, Preble, Montgomery, Darke, Miami and Clark Counties in southwest Ohio.  Those areas could see 6 to 10 inches of snow with locally higher amounts and winds gusting to 40 miles per hour creating blowing and drifting snow.

The NWS has also issued a winter storm warning for Warren, Clinton and Greene Counties where snow totals are expected to range from 3 to 6 inches.  Those areas could also have sleet and freezing rain mixed in with the snow.

Meanwhile a winter weather advisory has been posted for Dearborn, Ohio and Switzerland Counties in Southeast Indiana, Boone, Kenton and Campbell Counties in northern Kentucky and Hamilton, Clermont, Brown and Highland Counties in southwest Ohio.  Those counties could see 1 to 3 inches of snow with sleet and freezing rain.
