We look at the connection between healthy lifestyles and cancer

Studies are still being conducted, but research has shown that poor diet and not being active are two key factors that can increase a person'?s cancer risk. But can lifestyle changes, nutrition and dietary supplements prevent, and possibly treat, cancer? Joining us to discuss what research says about the connection between nutrition and cancer are Dr. Rekha Chaudhary, assistant professor in the department of internal medicine, division of hematology oncology at the University of Cincinnati and member of the UC Cancer Institute andUC Brain Tumor Center; Tammy Ward, registered dietitian and specialist in oncology nutrition for the UC Cancer Institute; and Suzy DeYoung, head chef and owner of LeSoupe.

The University of Cincinnati Cancer Institute is offering a new Community Education Series. For information on future presentations, click here.
