Following the incident ODOT announces the following closures and traffic detours around the bridge scene:
Southbound I-75 south of Mitchell Avenue is closed at I-74. Ramp from eastbound I-75 to southbound I-75 is also closed Motorists are instructed to take the following detours: • SB I-75 Traffic, North of I-275: Traffic is detoured to I-275 westbound to I-75 (in Kentucky). • SB I-75 Traffic, South of I-275: Traffic is detoured to SR-562 eastbound to I-71. • SB I-75 Traffic, South of SR-562: Traffic is diverted to I-74 westbound. • EB I-74 Traffic, West of I-275: Traffic is detoured to I-275 southbound to I-75 (in Kentucky). • EB I-74 Traffic, East of I-275: Traffic is diverted to I-75 northbound or Central Parkway.
From Cincinnati Police:
All vehicle traffic traveling through Greater Cincinnati via I-75 Southbound between I-74 and Hopple Street will continue to be rerouted to I-74 West. All traffic traveling Eastbound I-74 will be rerouted to either Northbound I-75 or the Colerain/Beekman Avenue exit. The Cincinnati Police Department will be staffing affected intersections with uniformed personnel to expedite evening rush hour traffic tonight and morning rush hour traffic in the morning.
