UC students on location for "end of the world"

Three dozen University of Cincinnati students are close to ground zero today as the Mayan calendar predicts an end of the world. The UC trip to Yucatan , Mexico, studying U.S. investments and Mexican development, is an annual one and always happens at this time of the year. Adjunct instructor Constance Lardas  and her students know it's not the end of the world.

"But I think they are excited at any rate. They're excited to be going, specifically at this time. We've talked about it in my classes at UC so I know everybody's aware of that."

Lardas says this is just the end of one time period and the beginning of another. The trip includes visits to archaeological sites, tours of colonial cities and manufacturing plants.
