Turnout expected to be Brisk in Ohio and Kentucky

Many area election officials are predicting a bigger voter turnout for this presidential election than four years ago. Hamilton County Board of Elections Director Amy Searcy says she expects between 70 and 73 percent of registered voters will cast ballots.

Deputy Director of the Butler County Board of Elections, Jocyelyn Bucaro says it will likely be about the same as 2008 at close to 70 percent.

In Campbell County, Clerk Jack Snodgrass says he's hired extra poll workers for the larger precincts to be ready for the vote which he predicts in the low 70's compared to about 62 percent in 2008.

The polls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.   Ohio polls are open from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.
