Trump, Kasich, Clinton Among Candidates Filed For Ohio Primary Ballot

Wednesday marked the deadline for anyone wanting to run for president in Ohio’s March primary. All the major presidential candidates from both parties have filed to run in the Ohio primary. That includes the top ten-polling GOP candidates, and Democrats Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.

Democrats and Republicans can get on the ballot by collecting signatures for their delegates. Republicans can also do this by raising a certain amount of money in 20 different states.

Every GOP hopeful has used this fundraising method to make it on Ohio’s ballot since it was authorized in 2012.

On the state level, there’s an interesting mix of leaders eyeing a return to the Ohio House, including current Republican Senate President Keith Faber, Republican Senator BillSeitzof Cincinnati, and former House Speaker Larry Householder of Perry County.
