Stopping Elder Abuse

Last year there were more than fourteen thousand reported cases of elder abuse and exploitation in Ohio. And research shows most cases go unreported. Some studies indicate that 1 in 10 seniors have suffered some form of abuse at least once. It can be physical, verbal, emotional, financial or a matter of neglect. CEO and President of Cedar Village and the Shalom Center for Elder Abuse Prevention at Cedar Village, Carol Silver Elliott, UC College of Nursing Center for Aging and Dignity Associate Director Dr. Evelyn Fitzwater, and Charles Puchta,  president of Careministry.com, explore the many aspects of elder abuse and its prevention.
