Social Enterprise CINCY Week Promotes Business As A Vehicle For Improving The Common Good

A social enterprise is a business created to further a social purpose in a financially sustainable way. Greater Cincinnati is home to several such organizations, operating successful businesses while giving back to the local community. Social Enterprise Week in Cincinnati begins August 31, and will include events and activities to engage people and drive home the message: ?business as a vehicle for improving the common good. Joining us to discuss the importance of social enterprises, and give us a preview of Social Enterprise CINCY Week, are David Dreith, executive vice president of enterprise, Easter Seals Tristate; Dan Meyer, CEO of Nehemiah Manufacturing and founder of Beacon of Hope Alliance; and Bill Tucker, executive director of Flywheel Social Enterprise Hub.
