The President delivered his State of the Union address earlier this week... now it's Hamilton County's turn. Commission President Chris Monzel gives the annual State of County report Thursday afternoon. He says he'll focus on the board's three main priority areas.

“The first area is strong financial management: making sure we have responsible tax policies; working on the property tax levies; keep making sure with the budget. Not to mention looking at how the Governor’s budget might impact us, so I’ll talk a little bit about that. The stadiums is another is that will be discussed and how that’s going to impact our budget,” he says.

The other two areas are infrastructure - namely the Metropolitan Sewer District, and expanding economic development. The annual speech is part of the Cincinnati Rotary group's weekly luncheon. It's at noon at the Hilton Netherland Hotel Hall of Mirrors.
