NPR Election Coverage Trims Keillor Again

National Public Radio coverage of the South Carolina Democratic primary will cut short Garrison Keillor’s “A Prairie Home Companion” again Saturday.

WVXU-FM/WMUB-FM and other NPR affiliates will drop the second hour of “APHC” at 7 p.m. for live reports, as NPR did last week for the South Carolina Republican primary results.

Keillor’s entire show will repeat noon Sunday on WVXU-FM, as usual.

NPR political coverage by Michel Martin and Don Gonyea also will pr-empt all or part of “LA Theater Works” 8-10 p.m. Saturday, says Kevin Reynolds, WVXU-FM community relations manager.

WVXU-FM/WMUB-FM also will air NPR’s live election results coverage at 8 p.m. March 1 on “Super Tuesday,” and at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 15 for primaries in Ohio and other states.
