Cincinnati residents who live in police District 3 are getting a chance to offer their input on what the new police headquarters’ for that area will look like.

Officials are holding a community meeting Tuesday evening.

Stakeholders from all neighborhoods in the district are invited to assist with the design and public components of the new facility.

The city is paying $325,000 for a site at 2300 Ferguson Road in Westwood for the building.  The decision was based on a five month selection process that included community engagement, research and analysis of 27 sites within the 14 neighborhoods that compose District 3.

The new facility will replace the current location at 3201 Warsaw Avenue in East Price Hill.  It was built in 1908 and officials say it's structurally and technologically obsolete.

A groundbreaking for the facility is set for the fall with construction scheduled to be completed in the spring 2015.

Tuesday night’s community meeting is being held at Elder High School Schaeper Center at 4005 Glenway Avenue starting at 6 o'clock.
