Mason's technology corridor
Since 2011 the City of Mason has closed nearly 110-million dollars in new investment and in the process created 14-hundred new jobs. It's a track record that's gaining attention.
The Intelligrated expansion is just the latest example of Mason's growing technology corridor. The City's website also lists investments, lease agreements and expansions by TopGun, mdynamik, Storeflix, Seapine Software, Rhinestahl and AssureRx. Mason has been the most proactive when it comes to outreach according to CincyTech Managing Director Mike Venerable. He also lives in Mason.
"What they did in the relationship with AssureRx is unprecedented in my experience here and even in the East Coast when I used to live there."
What Mason Economic Development Director Michele Blair arranged for AssureX was the build out of lab and office space in the community center and then when the company needed to expand Mason made space in the nearby Municipal Building available.
"We want them to grow their technology and employment base here. We want to be a partner first and foremost in that early growth when they are young companies."
Blair says over 70-percent of the new business is advanced technology, robotics, automation, innovation, and healthcare. CincyTech also credits Blue Ash and Montgomery for being forward thinking in terms of attracting companies.
