Jazz Entertainment for Valentines Day

Nothing says Valentines Day like sweet jazz music, and luckily there are plenty live performances to choose from. If you're not set on any plans for tomorrow, here are some options that are sure to make your day special.

Jazz vocalist Andrea Cefalo will be performing at Washington Platform. Cefalo is known for her sultry mix of traditional jazz and Brazilian classics. The performance will start at 8:00p.m. and end at 11:00p.m. Washington Platform is also offering a dinner special for those interested, visit http://www.washingtonplatform.com/special-events.htm for details. If a full band does not fit your mood, Don Steins will be performing solo on piano at Jag's Happy Hour from 6:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. Steins is a well credited pianist who is sure to set the mood for a wonderful evening, while you enjoy the fine dining Jag's has to offer. Also performing tomorrow is Eugene Goss and Triage at The Westin Cincinnati. The band plays a tribute to the African American songbook. The event starts at 8:00p.m. and will go until midnight. Tickets are $30 a person or $50 per couple, to purchase call 513-852-6529.

If none of the above sounds appealing, The Anderson High School Band Boosters are hosting a 'Big Band…Big Heart' fundraiser from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m., to support all bands at Anderson High School. The fundraiser will feature music by the Ron Purdon Orchestra as well as both Anderson High School Jazz bands, and sweet treats served throughout the afternoon. This event is free admission with a suggested $10 donation. Call 513-474-3317 with any questions.

Each of the events promises to be a delightful source of jazz music to soundtrack your Valentines day. Whatever your plans are, have a wonderful weekend.
