Impact Cincinnati: Organ Donors
There are currently over 115,000 men, women and children in the United States who are waiting for some type of organ transplant. Many wait years for a compatible donor.
Join us Thursday morning April 4 at 9:20 as we discuss what it’s like to be in need of an organ transplant, and to be an organ donor. Impact Cincinnati, on 91-7, WVXU. You can send your questions or comments to firstname.lastname@example.org. We’re also on Facebook and Twitter. Impact Cincinnati, on 91.7, WVXU.
Our guests on Impact Cincinnati this week are University of Cincinnati Medical Center Assistant Professor of Surgery and Transplant Surgeon, Dr. Madison Cuffy, Christ Hospital Clinical Laboratory Manager Carol Juniet, who donated a kidney to a co-worker, and Cincinnati Public Radio Community Relations Manager Kevin Reynolds. Kevin lost both kidneys to cancer and after a five year wait received a donated kidney last April.
