Hopeful Bengals head to Houston

UPDATE:  Bengals lose to the  Texans 19-13.  Houston is 3-0 against Cincinnati going back to the 2011 regular season.

The Bengals predict the outcome is going to be different this time as the team heads back to Houston this weekend for a playoff re-match.

Right before the team had it's final practice spirits were up Thursday in the Bengals locker room. Cornerback Leon Hall says it's exciting to go to the playoffs two years in a row.

"It is. Obviously it's been well documented that doesn't happen often here. But, you know, we just look at it as a chance to redeem ourselves in a big way."

It's important to have the energy and excitement that you had at the beginning of the season according to tackle Andrew Whitworth. This is his third trip to the playoffs.

"Since you're getting up there in age you don't know how many runs you've got left in you so, you know, excited about this opportunity. You wait to get on a run and see if we can do something special."

With this the seventeenth week of the season not everyone's body is up to par according to linebacker Rey Maualuga. Mentally he says the Bengals have to make sure to play their individual roles. He's hopeful.

"This time around we have the right group of guys. We're a lot more mentally prepared than we were the last time we played them and we already know what to expect."

Maualuga says this city deserves a win. It's the Bengals vs the Texans Saturday at 4:30.
