Hamilton County Library Levy Renewal

The Public Library of Cincinnati & Hamilton County is asking voters to renew its tax levy on election day by voting yes on Issue 1. If renewed, the property tax levy would produce approximately $18.1 million annually for a ten-year period, beginning in fiscal year 2015. The Library would use the funds to help pay for basic operating and maintenance expenses. Kimber L. Fender, the Eva Jane Romaine Coombe director of the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County discusses the Library’s role in the community and Issue 1.
