Restoration and renovation of Union Terminal won't begin until next year, but now we know who will be doing the work.
The newly formed Union Terminal Corporation has selected GBBN Architects, Turner Construction and Ellington Management Services.
The $212.7 million project will begin in the middle of next year and is expected to take about two years to complete. A releasesays GBBN will work to not only preserve and restore the building, but to make it more efficient and sustainable.

"We have assembled an incredibly strong team that shares our commitment to restore Union Terminal in a way that is transformational for future generations. The talent and expertise of GBBN, Turner and Ellington are integral to the success of this project."
The Center will remain open during construction, hosting The Art of the Brick, a LEGO-inspired exhibit, along with a new Omnimax film and the annual Holiday Junction.
