Fountain Square named an official World Cup viewing location

Fountain Square will be an official viewing location for this summer's World Cup. The announcement means all three of the USA's first round games will be broadcast live on the big screen during the month-long soccer tournament being held in Brazil from June 12 - July 13.

Watch Party Dates:

Monday June 16 vs Ghana 6:00 p.m. Match Kickoff

Sunday  June 22 vs Portugal 6:00 p.m. Match Kickoff

Thursday June 26 vs Germany 12:00 p.m. Match Kickoff

The Cincinnati Saints, a member of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), led the effort to bring the games to the Square. In a release, Team President David Satterwhite says the event will have an "Olympic Village atmosphere with several vendors & other fan experiences... (that) will cater to soccer fans of all ages."

FIFA, the governing body of international soccer, requires sites to obtain an official commercial public viewing license. Fees from those licenses will be donated to FIFA Football for Hope, a project aimed at supporting not-for-profit soccer programs world-wide.
