On Sunday, June 8th, the Over the Rhine Chamber of Commerce will begin its ninth year of Second Sunday on Main - the eclectic neighborhood street festival on Main Street in OTR.
Second Sunday celebrations have something for everyone - including the family pet!
The traditional Dog Days Parade will begin that afternoon at 3, followed by a free Dog Training Workshop conducted by Lisa Desatnik from somuchPETential.com. Lisa will provide information to pet owners on how dogs learn and help teach them how to use positive reinforcement effectively.
You can find your new best friend at one of the mobile adoption units from SPCA Cincinnati, Cincinnati Pit Crew, and Adore-A-Bull Rescue, or get involved with Save The Animals Foundation and VITAS Paw Pals!
There will also be fun canine contests with prizes awarded for Cutest Dog, Best Costume, Best Trick (by a dog) and Dog & Owner Look-a-like.
Whether your prize Pomeranian puppy is pure-bred or your Rottweiler is a rescue, bring your favorite family furball down to Main Street for Second Sunday on Main. All canine participants get a homemade dog treat!
