The current state of breast cancer - diagnosis, treatment and research

About 1 in 8 women in the United States will develop invasive breast cancer during their lifetime, and approximately 40,000 women will die from breast cancer this year. Joining us from the University of Cincinnati Cancer Institute Comprehensive Breast Cancer Center to discuss breast cancer causes treatments and current research are Dr. Amy Argus, a radiologist and assistant professor at the UC College of Medicine; Sara Knapke, Clinical Manager & Licensed Genetic Counselor in the Division of Human Genetics at Cincinnati Children?s Hospital Medical Center; and Dr. Jaime Lewis, surgical oncologist and UC College of Medicine assistant professor.

There is a free symposium for anyone interested in learning more about advances in early breast cancer research on November 1, at the Kingsgate Marriott Hotel. The symposium, ?UCCancer Institute Breast Cancer Journey: Snapshot of Research,? is free, but registration is required. For more information click here.
