Cincinnati Jazz

Lee Hay hosts a one-hour special featuring a profile of Ron Enyard, a review of Ernie Krivda’s latest cd “Blues for Pekar,” and a performance by the popular jazz group, the Faux Frenchmen.

Frank Johnson talks with jazz drummer Ron Enyard, who’s played with many legendary jazz musicians and includes stories of his jazz career and the jazz scene in Cincinnati. There will be songs from the many legendary jazz musicians he listened to over the years.

David Delegator shares a review of Cleveland saxophonist Ernie Krivda’s latest cd “Blues for Pekar.” Krivda will be performing at the Blue Wisp Jazz Club in downtown Cincinnati on Friday, March 30th.

The performance by the Faux Frenchmen was recorded by WVXU at Christ Church Cathedral on November 29th and features many of their Django Reinhardt-influenced songs.
