On the Blues show, Saturday night, February 15th at 11pm, you’ll hear some legendary musicians like Albert King, Etta James, and Bob Dylan. The show begins with Kenny Wayne Shepherd and vocalist Noah Hunt who’ll be in Louisville on Tuesday, March 18th for a one-night show. There’s also a song by Anders Osborne who’s part of the Southern Soul Assembly Tour coming to the Taft Theatre downtown on Wednesday, March 19th.
Big news recently released…this is the last year for the Allman Brothers with Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks leaving and Gregg Allman announcing his departure. The end of a long era. I’m doing an interview on February 19th with Alan Paul who’s written a book about the Allman Brothers era called, “One Way Out.” The interview will be included in a special on the Allman Brothers that’ll air on VXU/MUB at 11pm on Saturday night, April 5th.
