We're heading down to New Orleans this week to celebrate the Mardi Gras season. The show will begin with the Marcus Roberts Trio and then continue with Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Professor Longhair, and Dr. John. Dr. John will be headlining the French Quarter Festival running April 10th through the 13th. The festival features 1400 Louisiana musicians on 21 stages during the 4-day festival, and it's all free!
You'll also hear Rebirth Brass Band on this program, Marcia Ball, and Cincinnati's own Ricky Nye. Irma Thomas, the reigning Soul Queen of New Orleans, concludes the Mardi Gras special.
