All-Star Game Brings Human Trafficking Concerns

Cincinnati police have set up a hotline you can call if you have information related to human trafficking. Police are paying extra attention to the issue with concerns trafficking could increase during the All-Star Weekend.Some Downtown companies and businesses have also sent notices to employees asking them to be alert and report anything they deem suspicious.

The Cincinnati Police Department’s Anti-Human Trafficking Hotline is 564-CALL (2255). The Cincinnati Police Department has established a hotline to receive information and provide guidance on suspected human trafficking offenses. The hotline will be staffed 24 hours a day during major events when there is a potential for increased illicit activity. The hotline will be answer by a trained Vice detective with the ability to evaluate tips and take immediate action. To report information related to suspected human trafficking in the greater Cincinnati area, please call 513-564-CALL (2255). We care about the victims of these crimes, please – If you see something, say something. Information may also be submitted anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040 or text “CINTIP PLUS YOUR TIP” to CRIMES 274637. The PolarisProject.org maintains a national Anti-Human Trafficking Hotline 1-888-373-7888. Information and help is also available from many other local sources including EndSlaveryCincinnati.org and the Salvation Army. The Anti-Trafficking hotline is currently being staffed 24-hours a day, seven days a week by a Vice Unit officer until July 16, 2015.
