Tana Weingartner earned a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Cincinnati and a master's degree in mass communication from Miami University. Most recently, she served as news and public affairs producer with WMUB-FM. Ms. Weingartner has earned numerous awards for her reporting, including several Best Reporter awards from the Associated Press and the Ohio Society of Professional Journalists. She served on the Ohio Associated Press Broadcasters Board of Directors from 2007 - 2009.

Group protests Archdiocese teacher contract

A small group gathered Thursday morning across the street from the Cincinnati Archdiocese offices in Downtown. They're protesting the new Catholic school teacher contract which includes specific language prohibiting employees from publicly supporting causes that run counter to Catholic teachings.

Ohio approves tax credits for GE

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority has approved an 85 percent, 15-year Job Creation Tax Credit for General Electric to locate a new regional headquarters in Southwest Ohio.

Top 50 historic Cincinnati sites named

More than 17,000 votes have been counted and the results are in. Here are the Cincinnati Preservation Associations's top 50 historic buildings in Cincinnati.

Executive Director Paul Muller says more than 150 buildings were nominated.

The Delta Queen topped the list with 2302 votes followed by the Administration Building at God's Bible School & College with 1725 votes.

Seelbach heading to Harvard

A Cincinnati council member is heading back to school. Chris Seelbach will spend the council's summer recess attending the Harvard Kennedy School “Senior Executives in State & Local Government” program as a Bohnett Fellow.

In a release Seelbach says, "I am deeply honored to accept the Bohnett Fellowship to attend Harvard Kennedy School this summer. I’m looking forward to getting back to the classroom in order to further hone my skills as both a legislature and leader."

St. Clair Township in fiscal emergency

Another township in Southwest Ohio is in fiscal emergency.

Ohio Auditor Dave Yost Thursday placed St. Clair Township in Butler County on the list of municipalities that need to clean up their finances. Last month Yost placed Hamilton Township in Warren County on that list.
