Tana Weingartner earned a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Cincinnati and a master's degree in mass communication from Miami University. Most recently, she served as news and public affairs producer with WMUB-FM. Ms. Weingartner has earned numerous awards for her reporting, including several Best Reporter awards from the Associated Press and the Ohio Society of Professional Journalists. She served on the Ohio Associated Press Broadcasters Board of Directors from 2007 - 2009.

Ohio does well in national hospital rankings

Christ Hospital ranks fourth in the state for Ohio's best hospitals, according to U.S. News and World Report.

Big stars to headline W&S Open

The biggest names in tennis will grace center court this summer at the Western & Southern Open. Officials say Roger Federer, Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal will compete on the men's side. Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova and Li Na will compete for the women's title.

National archery competition draws hundreds, including Olympians

They stand in a long line, a sea of pensive faces stretches across a wide green field. Every eye is trained down range at small yellow, red and blue targets.

The giant archery competition being held this weekend at Joyce Park in Hamilton is actually three competitions in one: The U.S. National Target Championships, The U.S. Open and the Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) Nationals. More than 700 people from across the country are competing.

County to re-open MSD bid process

Hamilton County Commissioners are expected to vote Wednesday morning on re-opening the bidding process on some Metropolitan Sewer District projects.

The board initiated the moratorium to force renewed talks between the county and the city, which runs the sewer district. At issue are several city initiated hiring policies and practices the county dislikes, and in some cases says are illegal.

The county is re-opening the bid process following a city council vote two weeks ago to suspend the hiring policies until August.

Warren County racino now hiring

The Miami Valley Gaming & Raceway plans to hire more than 500 people, beginning Wednesday. The Warren County racino plans to open December 12, 2013.

Job openings range from food and drink service to IT, finance, human resources, marketing.

A job fair is set for Wednesday, July 10 from 4-7 p.m. at Workforce One of Warren County. Applicants should bring a resume and apply in-person.
