Tana Weingartner earned a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Cincinnati and a master's degree in mass communication from Miami University. Most recently, she served as news and public affairs producer with WMUB-FM. Ms. Weingartner has earned numerous awards for her reporting, including several Best Reporter awards from the Associated Press and the Ohio Society of Professional Journalists. She served on the Ohio Associated Press Broadcasters Board of Directors from 2007 - 2009.

Cincinnati makes cheapskate list

Cincinnatians have a tight grip on our pocketbooks (and wallets, handbags, purses, man-bags, bank accounts, etc). Kiplinger's is out with its list of best cities for cheapskates and the Queen City is on the list at number six.

Kiplinger's says the title is a compliment. Criteria includes the mix of prosperity and affordability along with access to lots of free or low cost activities such as museums and libraries.

Just a few blocks behind Music Hall, tucked in a tiny alcove behind a large, leafy tree in the West End lays an unassuming collection of worn gray headstones. Enclosed by ivy-covered brick walls and a chain-link fence, the Chestnut Street Cemetery sits almost hidden from the world. But this small plot of land is actually quite historic.

USS Cincinnati to 'dock' in Queen City

A Cold War era submarine named for the Queen City is scheduled to arrive in its namesake this weekend.

Joe Jaap has been working for more than a decade to bring the USS Cincinnati's sail to town in hopes of creating a memorial. The sail is the tower-like structure that sits on top of the sub.

New report card standards show rating drops

School district report cards are out from the state and they aren't very complimentary.

Cincinnati Public earned two C's, one D and six F's. CPS isn't alone. Superintendent Mary Ronan says scores are down statewide as everyone transitions to a whole new grading system.
