He has received awards from the Ohio Associated Press, Ohio Society of Professional Journalists, The Press Club of Ohio, and the Cincinnati Society of Professional Journalists.

Heyne hosts Cincinnati Edition Wednesday afternoons at 1:00 pm and All Things Considered Monday through Friday.

Reds exhibit covers history of baseball's oldest professional team

Reds Hall of Fame and Museum

The Reds started the first professional baseball team in 1869, so without a doubt there's a lot of history surrounding them. The Reds Hall of Fame opens an exhibit today, Kings of the Queen City, which showcases the team's greatest moments and biggest names.

The centerpiece of the exhibit is a graphic timeline covering 145 years of Reds history.  The timeline also has an interactive touch-screen screen monitor with audio and video clips.

Reds and Findlay Market announce Grand Marshal for Opening Day Parade

Reds Hall of Famer Dave Concepción will be the Grand Marshal of the 95th Findlay Market Opening Day Parade.

The parade kicks off at noon on Monday, March 31.

Concepción was a nine-time All-Star and winner of five Gold Gloves during his 19 seasons with the Reds. He was inducted in the Reds Hall of Fame in 2000 and his jersey number, 13, was retired by the Reds in 2007.

The first pitch for the Reds vs. St. Louis Cardinals Opening Day game is 4:10 p.m.
