Clermont County lands Rowing Club Nationals

This is an aerial view from the 2010 Midwest Scholastic Championship regatta. The regatta in the picture is about the same size and scope of the one coming in 2015.

Harsha Lake in Clermont County's East Fork State Park will host the 2015 USRowing Club Nationals July 15 through the 19th.

The Club Nationals is one of the largest summer regattas nationwide, featuring five full days of racing and more than 1,500 crews from youth, collegiate, and adult teams nationwide. Here is video from the 2013 National Championships

TriHealth & Select Medical building new hospital

TriHealth plans to open a new hospital next year that will focus on spinal cord and brain injuries, neurological disorders and musculoskeletal conditions.

Spokesman Joe Kelley says the new rehabilitation facility will be in Keystone Parke along Interstate 71 and Dana Avenue. He says TriHealth already does rehab at Bethesda North and Good Samaritan and when the new hospital opens, those rehab facilities will move into the Evanston hospital.

2016 GOP convention in Cincinnati is now a waiting game

There’s an old saying in the game of golf – “never up, never in.”

It means that if your ball is on the green, a long way from the cup, you have to swing your putter with an extra “oomph” to get the ball somewhere close to the hole. That way, if you don’t sink it, you have an easy tap-in putt.

Water quality safe near oil pipeline break

Health officials say air and water quality tests around the site of an oil pipeline break in Colerain Township keep turning out well.

"We tested four wells on three properties (Thursday)," says Mike Samet with Hamilton County Public Health. "Results came back: no contamination from oil. We have two more samples out (Friday)... We're fully expecting them to be uncontaminated as well."

Approximately 10,000 gallons of crude oil leaked out of a burst underground pipeline in Oak Glen Nature Preserve. The leak was discovered Monday night.
