Romney, Ryan rally the troops Friday in West Chester

Friday night - only three days before the election - Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are bringing their campaign to Butler County, one of the deepest mines of GOP votes in the Buckeye State, for a rally in West Chester.

The rally - which also features the presidential candidate's wife, Ann Romney - will be at The Square at Unon Centre, 9285 Centre Point Drive, West Chester.

The doors open at 4:30 p.m., with the program set to begin at 7 p.m.

It is a ticketed event. Tickets are available at http://www.mittromney.com/ohio.

Duke grant will create riverfront 'garden'

A new green space is coming to the Cincinnati riverfront. Duke Energy is donating nearly a half million dollars over three years to add a garden to Smale Riverfront Park.

Spokesman Blair Schroeder says the plan is create a 'front porch' feel to the city.

"In addition to the lush gardens and large trees, you're going to have your walking paths, you're going to have granite sea walls and, of course, the park will also have large, oversized, family-sized porch swings that are suspended so visitors will have a front row seat to the scenery that passes along the Ohio River."

UC/Iraq educational partnership holds November reunion

Two groups from the University of Cincinnati will be going to Iraq in November as part of a State Department sponsored program to improve education around the world.   


This is the third year for the program, which partners UC with Salahaddin University in Erbil, Kurdistan, the northern region of Iraq.

Cincinnati Bengals trade in playbooks for iPads

Fourteen NFL teams have gone digital with their playbooks, including the Bengals. The advantages for coaches and players are convenience, ease of revision and better preparation.

Back-up Quarterback Bruce Gradkowski doesn't miss the three-ring binder with hundreds of pages of scouting information and plays. It has been replaced by team issued iPads.
