Updated Zoo reptile house reopens Saturday

The oldest building at any zoo nationwide is ready to debut its updated look. The Cincinnati Zoo's 138-year-old Reptile House reopens tomorrow after undergoing renovation.

Director Thane Maynard says workers found and restored a previously unknown wood and glass oculus window in the dome ceiling.

Fate of Cincinnati parking lease now up to judge

A Hamilton County Judge could decide next week whether Cincinnati residents will have a chance to vote on the city's plan to lease most of its parking facilities to the Greater Cincinnati Port Authority.

Senator Rob Portman now supports gay marriage

CNN is reporting Sen. Rob Portman of Ohio now supports gay marriage.  Portman says he's had a change of heart since learning one of his sons is gay.  See the story here.

Cincinnati parking lease heads back to court

A Hamilton County Judge will hear arguments Friday morning before deciding whether to issue a permanent injunction that would prevent Cincinnati from moving forward with a parking lease Council approved last week. 
 
Judge Robert Winkler issued a temporary restraining order just minutes after the council vote.

Sittenfeld begins effort to restore state funding cuts

Cincinnati City Council member P.G. Sittenfeld - joined by elected officials from several of Ohio's major cities - has created a web site to drum up public support to restore all of the the nearly $3 billion in cuts to the Local Government  Fund made by Gov. John Kasich and the Ohio legislature two years ago.
