Yost to city: Use parking lease payment for pensions

The draft of a letter Ohio Auditor Dave Yost apparently plans to send to Cincinnati city officials says that they should consider using the "bulk" of the $92 million in up-front money from the parking lease agreement to help bolster the city's troubled pension system.

City council recently received a report saying the unfunded liability of the pension system had grown by another $133 million last year.

Could the Cincinnati Zoo get funding from other counties?

The Cincinnati Zoo's operating levy is up for renewal this fall. It's still uncertain for how much the zoo will ask. One anti-tax group is arguing if the zoo is such a boon to the entire region, then other counties should help pay for it.

Walking audit planned for South Cumminsville

An effort begins this week to make it easier for pedestrians to travel around Cincinnati's South Cumminsville neighborhood. 

They've been hampered since I-74 cut through the area many years ago.  The effort also comes as the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Millcreek Expressway Project continues on I-75.
