This Cincinnati council election is a long-term deal

When you cast your ballot in this year’s Cincinnati City Council election, the ballot will look the same as it always has – a long list of 20-plus names, among whom you can choose up to nine.

And, as always, the top nine finishers in the council field race will become the new city council.

But this is a council election unlike any other in most people’s living memory.

Since 1925, when the charter form of government replaced the corrupt and incompetent ward system, Cincinnati voters have been choosing council members to serve two year terms.

You'll have to pay until 9pm if you park in this grid:

Ferrari with Cincinnati ties to be auctioned off in London

One of the world's rarest race cars, which could be worth as much as $15 million, is scheduled to be auctioned off in London next month, as part of a court settlement. In its time, the Ferrari 375 Plus was the fastest car on the track. The company made only six of them and just four are thought to still exist.

USS Cincinnati to 'dock' in Queen City

A Cold War era submarine named for the Queen City is scheduled to arrive in its namesake this weekend.

Joe Jaap has been working for more than a decade to bring the USS Cincinnati's sail to town in hopes of creating a memorial. The sail is the tower-like structure that sits on top of the sub.
