Student's lawsuit alleges discrimination at Miami University

Update 1/13/14 at 1:55 PM:  Miami University spokeswoman Claire Wagner said in an e-mail because the case involves a current student, the school will not comment on the complaint other than to deny the allegations.

Wagner said Miami is committed to the success of all of its students and Miami is committed to equal access.

Andre Hyland, who's been making "movies" since he was 10, may be finally getting the recognition many people think he deserves.

The Indian Hill High School and University of Cincinnati graduate now lives in LA, making films, writing comedy, and acting. Hyland learned his film Funnel had been accepted into the Sundance Film Festival just after two of his pilots for Comedy Central were rejected.

County to hear DDS levy recommendations

*Update*  The Hamilton County Tax Levy Review Committee is recommending the Developmental Disabilities Levy be put on the May ballot as a flat renewal. The TLRC also recommends the agency implement the consultant's recommendations listed below.

Hamilton County Commissioners will hear more details Monday about the upcoming Developmental Disabilities Levy.

The Tax Levy Review Committee makes its recommendation to the board Monday morning.

Decision day near for Portune

In or out?

The clock is ticking on Hamilton County Commissioner Todd Portune’s ambition to be the Democratic nominee for governor; and Portune probably has little more than a week to make up his mind.

Portune is saying that, by the end of the week, he should be ready to announce one way or the other about whether he will be a candidate for Ohio governor.

It’s a long shot; a 70-yard “Hail Mary” pass into the end zone for Portune to begin with.
