Reds Hall of Famer Dave Concepción will be the Grand Marshal of the 95th Findlay Market Opening Day Parade.
The parade kicks off at noon on Monday, March 31.
Concepción was a nine-time All-Star and winner of five Gold Gloves during his 19 seasons with the Reds. He was inducted in the Reds Hall of Fame in 2000 and his jersey number, 13, was retired by the Reds in 2007.
The first pitch for the Reds vs. St. Louis Cardinals Opening Day game is 4:10 p.m.
Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley is asking council members to sign off on a motion related to the parking lease with the Greater Cincinnati Port Authority. The measure is currently circulating among council members. It would make major changes to the original plan between the city and the port.
Cranley could publicly release details of the plan Wednesday.
The International Trade Administration (ITA) reports Ohio merchandise exports increased 3.9 percent from 2012 to 2013.
The organizations says exports grew to a record high $50.5 billion.
“Big export sales means more revenue which translate into economic growth and jobs for the Ohio,” said Marcia Brandstadt, Director of the U.S. Commercial Service in Cincinnati. “There is a great potential for more exporting—particularly among smaller businesses that have yet to sell abroad."
