murals http://wvxu.org en The London Police Invade Northern KY http://wvxu.org/post/london-police-invade-northern-ky <p><span style="line-height: 1.5;">Greater Cincinnati has been synonymous with murals for generations.&nbsp;</span></p><p>In 1932, Winold Reiss created 23 towering mosaics for Union Terminal -- though 14 of them have since been moved to the airport for preservation.</p><p>One of Cincinnati’s most iconic pieces of art is the mural for the Terrace Plaza Hotel, created in 1947 by Joan Miro -- that now sits across from the Terrace Café in the Cincinnati Art Museum.</p><p>Cincinnati’s own ArtWorks has been decorating facades and exterior canvases since 1996.</p><p>In 2010 muralist Shepard Fairey plastered his imagery – quite literally – all around town.&nbsp;</p><p>And just last March, Irish artist Maser’s mural “Get Up” was installed on the side of a building on Pendleton St.</p><p><strong>Now, the London Police are back in town.</strong></p><p> Fri, 16 Aug 2013 19:54:06 +0000 Jim Nolan 16255 at http://wvxu.org The London Police Invade Northern KY
