Dayton Air Show en Dayton Air Show ready to take off this weekend <p></p><p>The U.S. Navy Blue Angels top the list of attractions this weekend at the annual <a href="" target="_blank">Dayton Air Show</a>. The aerial team arrived Thursday after a morning fly-over in Cincinnati.</p><p>The US Marine Corps Harrier jet and the Air Force Academy's Wings of Blue parachute team are also set to appear.</p><p>Air Show spokesman Tim Gaffney says community support has been strong as the air show looks to rebound from the sequester which forced the Thunderbirds to pull out of the show last year.</p> Fri, 27 Jun 2014 16:57:11 +0000 Tana Weingartner 28548 at Dayton Air Show ready to take off this weekend "Pilot error' led to deadly air show crash <p>The Ohio State Highway Patrol says "pilot error" is to blame for the <a href="" target="_blank">fiery crash that left two people dead</a> at last month's Dayton Air Show.</p><p>Wing Walker Jane Wicker and pilot Charles Schwenker were both killed when their 1941 Boeing Sterman glider plane crashed into the ground during a mid-day performance at the annual air show.</p><p>The FAA and NTSB are still investigating and will issue the final official cause at a later date.</p> Tue, 02 Jul 2013 19:50:52 +0000 Tana Weingartner 14492 at Preliminary answers on Dayton Air Show crash could come this week <p>Federal officials investigating Saturday’s plane crash at the Dayton Air Show say it may take up to a year before the cause of the crash can be determined.</p><p>An initial coroner’s report say that 44-year-old wing-walker Jane Wicker and the plane’s pilot, 64-year-old Charlie Schwenker, died of blunt force trauma.</p><p>The National Transportation Safety Board expects to release an initial report later this week.
