Paddlefest en "Pep rally for the Ohio River" <p>Plenty of people will be making waves in and around the Ohio River this weekend, whether it be in a clean-up capacity or participation in America's largest paddle event.</p><p><strong>Ohio River Sweep</strong></p> Fri, 20 Jun 2014 10:00:00 +0000 Ann Thompson 28211 at "Pep rally for the Ohio River" Sunrise Urban Float kicks off Paddle Fest <p>Tri-state kayak enthusiasts gathered early Thursday for the Sunrise Urban Float.</p><p>"This is the most fun event for me because when Paddlefest starts we are all working it," Lynette Jolicoeur of Ft. Mitchell said. Jolicoeur , who runs Flying Olive Kayak Adventures, joins her friends here to paddle a while then go out to breakfast.</p><p>Brewster Rhoads said that many of these veteran kayakers serve on the 50-member volunteer water safety crew during the yearly Paddlefest event.
